About Kal

Kal playing live

Kal, full name Kalada Bruce – Jaja, was born in 80s Greenwich, London. He’s half Nigerian and half English, and has an appreciation of all sorts of music.
He primarily plays piano, guitar and bass, but will have a go at anything – and invites you to challenge him.
His musical influences range from West African High-Life (Prince Nico Mbarga), Jazz (Cab Calloway), Soul (Ray Charles), Blues (BB Kin
g), Rock (U2), Pop (Michael Jackson), Hip Hop (Notorious BIG) and contemporary R&B (Justin Timberlake) to name just a few.  Anything with rhythm and a tune will do and anyone who could tell you how they were feeling with their music.
Away from music, Kal went to university in Birmingham, enjoys anything that makes him laugh, and is an ardent spurs fan – much to Rob’s delight at present (a gooner).
If he could have one wish, he’d wish he’d seen Michael Jackson live, and if that was too selfish, he’d wish Michael Jackson had led a happier, less tormented life (so he’d still be alive and Kal could go and see him ;) )
