MUBLA 2.0 – MUSIC MADE IN FRONT OF YOU

Over the next five months we are going to take you on a musical journey that no other band has attempted to take their fans on. To our knowledge what we are going to do has never been done before.

To say we are excited about this is an understatement. We are completely off the chart, over the moon, crazily excited but also at the same time a little bit scared! It could easily go wrong and be an embarrassing failure but we are optimistic that this is the start of something special.

What is mubla 2.0?

Mubla 2.0 is what it says on the tin – music made in front of you. It’s a complete journey of music creation. You’ll see us start with next to nothing and hopefully finish with a complete album – professionally mixed and mastered.

Along the way we’ll be documenting everything it’s physically possible to document and making it available to you exclusively on robandkal.com. Mubla 2.0 is music made in front of you and it’s a journey we hope you’ll join us on.

How does it work?

As of today, 3 October 2009, we have 7 initial song ideas. Most of them are just a piano and vocal and at this stage they are nothing more than ideas. Over the coming months we intend to develop them and come up with more. The plan is then to record in regular 2-day recording sessions spaced apart by 2-3 weeks. The first dates are already pencilled in for Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th October!

After each session we’ll be uploading various mixes of each of the songs that we’ve recorded to robandkal.com and they’ll be there for you to comment on and tell us what you think. There will also be lots of photos and videos direct from the studio as well as frequent blogs keeping you up to date on our progress, giving you the stories behind the songs and our plans for developing them.

How can I get involved?

As stated above we’ll be documenting everything in the form of photos, videos and blogs and all of these will be made available through robandkal.com. You’ll be able to stream some of the mixes and recordings we make, watch videos and read blogs directly from this website ABSOLUTELY FREE.
