1. Floor says:

Wow, really love this song. Love the piano and the violin in it. Can’t wait to hear it with the drums as well. Thnx for finding me on twitter :D.

  2. Russell the armchair critic says:

hey boys best song so far. violins really add something to it along with acoustic guitar. ending is brilliant too. you know i was saying down pub that i couldn’t remember the tune of ur songs after listening- well this one is pretty memorable. good stuff

    • Kal says:

Cheers Russ. We both like the ending of this one and it’s gonna sound better when we get Matt in to do drums next Friday. Stay tuned.

      Now, hows about that drink?

  3. Kelly says:

Hi Rob and Kal, This song is very catchy that’s why I love it so much can’t get it out of my head :) I love the violin and the guitar and the vocals what can I say but I love it! the ending is so nice I really like the last time you sing “The island without a name” then fade out with the oohhh…

    • Kal says:

Hey, sorry I took a bit of time in replying to you, I’ve been out of town. Thanks for the great feedback and keep an eye out in about two weeks time when we’ll be uploading this track with drums on it.

  4. Jas says:

Short staccato stabs in the second verse really bring this song to life. Now hows about some drums?

  5. Chrissy says:

    Hey Rob and Kal,
I like this song. When I hear it the first time I thought: Okay, too much “Oooohhhh”. But after the second, third an so on time using the PLAY-button I thought it no longer… Go ahead!!!

    • Rob says:

Hey Chrissy, I think perhaps the first OOoohh should be softer and maybe just one vocal so it’s not so noticeable. The good thing is that the vocals you hear at the moment are NOT the final vocals. Putting vocals on a track is nearly always the last thing you do after everything else including drums have been added. The vocals you hear at the moment are just a “guide” so that we can put all the other parts down. Do you think the violin works?

  6. Lani says:

Not sure why, but I think this song would benefit with the addition of a more whimsical note to it, and the two options that came to mind was a female vocal riff… or perhaps a flute note floating over the top… it would enhance the idea of being away from it all “on an island”.

    • Rob says:

I know exactly what you mean and I think to a certain extent we have achieved that whimsical feel to it in our latest recording with violin which i’ll be uploading later today. I’ll email you when it’s up and will be interested to see what we should change/add from that. Great comments though and they have been noted!

  7. April says:

I think the guitar will sound great onece you put it together with the piano.

    • Kal says:

      Hey April,
We go back into the studio on Monday to record the latest version of Vedere. There could be some surprises! Could you explain what you mean about the guitar and the piano so that we can work on this in the studio?
      Cheers, Kal :)x

  8. Katharina Klingenschmid says:

this song’s really cool! i love it!

    GREAT!

i think it’s really amazing that someone can write songs. and even such great ones like your songs are!

    • Rob says:

Thanks for the compliment Katharina! I think this might be my favourite song that we are working on at the moment. I can’t wait to get drums on it at the end where it gets louder and builds so hopefully they’ll work. What do you think?

      • Katharina Klingenschmid says:

yeah! drums at the end would be very cool!

it’s also my favourite song of yours. :D

  9. i really like the added bass. great song.

    • Rob says:

Hey Dena, Yeah the bass is an interesting instrument because you often only notice it when it’s not there because something is missing but you can’t quite put your finger on it! We have a drummer coming with us to the studio next month and will be adding some drums to this track to see if they work. I’m so excited!

  10. dena taylor says:

fabulous song i think its great, maybe add percussions, or cymbals. but what do know i just lisen to music not play it.

    • Kal says:

      Hey,
I’m not sure Rob and I had thought about percussion for this one, but I can definitely hear it now, from the part where it builds up towards the end at least.
      Thanks,
      Kal

  11. Guys, this really sounds incredible. The piano is really intense but in an amazing way. I really like it. Not sure how much more work you have on it but it sounds pretty spot on to me. Nicely done.

  12. Mark C says:

Alright Kal, great site you’ve got here. I like simple stuff like this one! Keep it up.

  13. Steve Johnson says:

Robin and Kal super music , I like it very much. Regards Steve

  14. Claire1 says:

Amazin! Really like this one, esp the dramatic piano bit at the beginning.
Definately not enough dramatic piano bits these days…

  15. Chris C says:

Greetings from Canada. This is my favourite so far. I think in the part just before the end, both of you should sing. Good luck guys.

    • Rob says:

Thanks Chris. This is one of my favs so far as well though prepare yourself for some changes to it in the next set of recordings. :)
Can I ask how you found us?

  16. Jimmy says:
