Weekend Away & Photoshoot
November 17th, 2009 | By Kal
Hey, Kal here. Thought I’d just check in this morning to let you know what we’ve been up to over the last few days and what we are doing tonight. If you listen to our 4th podcast, out soon, you will hear only two voices. Not those of Rob and myself ie. Rob and Kal, but the two Rs – possibly a poorer version of Brazil’s three Rs, but that is for another day.
Yes – it was Ross and Rob, with my dulcette tones nowhere to be heard. I was back in Birmingham, the city in which I attended uni, visiting friends, having a great time and maybe writing theme tunes for people on my guitar and on my friend’s new mini keyboard (2 feet long max!).
This was our first “weekend off” for as long as I can remember, but as you will hear, Rob was busy recording another podcast and adding content to the site. I’ll claim that I was busy practicing my music – and if you believe that, fair play to you.
One thing I will say is that on my return home on Sunday evening, I was really pleased to see all of your comments – I am glad that people are really starting to feel like they can express an opinion on this losing the feeling that it was none of their business. This IS your business!
Photoshoot
That brings me on to tonight. Rob and I are going for our first photoshoot. Since we are both Greenwich born, we thought that it would be nice to head back there. Hopefully that will relax me a bit as I am the least comfortable person in front of a camera ever. I don’t mind video too much, but when something is capturing you (or your face!) for an instant, you feel pressure to look your best and that pressure probably leads me to pull a funny face, usually without my knowledge.
Hopefully the gale force winds we’ve been having will take my mind off that as I watch the photographer do his damnedest to hold on to his equipment! The stunning views throughout Greenwich and looking across the Thames should have that effect too.
We promise that the pictures will be up as soon as possible, at which point you can judge for yourself. Comments about my face won’t be deleted, but they may make me cry!

Photos will be both on this website and on Flickr. The hi-res ones will most likely be on Flickr. A select few should also be available on the website of our photographer Marcus Maschwitz: http://londonbandphotography.co.uk/ – You’ll see he has quite an impressive list of clientèle!
I wana theme tune
Are the photos going to be on this website or Flickr?
