Music, Photos, and Videos

It’s all busy here at robandkal.com. As you may have seen we’ve recently uploaded the new recordings from our latest Mubla 2.0 session. People have already started commenting and letting us know what they think and the feedback so far as been both positive and constructive with the latter being what we are really looking for!
We know lots of you aren’t really sure what to say in your comments and/or are maybe worried about upsetting us if you say something bad! Firstly, we really don’t mind criticism and in many ways encourage it because criticism in our eyes is just feedback and you letting us know which bits are working and aren’t working.
Having said that, we do realise that sometimes it’s difficult to put into words exactly what it is you like or don’t like which is why we’ve introduced a new ratings system on each song page. For the latest version of each recording you can now tell us exactly what you think of each individual aspect of the song with a score from 1 to 5. It’s really simple and just a case of clicking your mouse once on the number of stars you want to give for each part! To see it in action why not head over to the All I Ever Wanted song page and let us know what you think.
So that’s the music part of this blog dealt with now what about the photos bit!? Well, we’ve just had the photos back from the shoot we had with Marcus Mashwitz in November. We’re really pleased with them and should have most of them uploaded here in the next week and also on our Flickr page. In the mean time you can head over to Marcus’ blog and see a selection of them and also read the kind words he wrote about us. While you’re over there check out some of the other bands he’s done shoots with – you’ll notice this guy is a true professional!
Finally, I’m currently going through about 30gb of video from the last recording session. We didn’t realise how much we had which is why it’s taking a while to sort through it. Having said that we are starting to get through the editing stage and should have videos posted online from tomorrow onwards so keep checking back.
I think that’s all! R
