Back In The Day: Paris Revolution – The Background
September 12th, 2009 | By Rob
Just thought I’d drop the first in a series of mini-blogs about our musical backgrounds.
As some of you know Kal and I were previously in a band called Paris Revolution . To quote from our About Us page:
Playing the local haunts of Birmingham and Leicester including Bar Academy and the now defunct legendary Charlotte, Paris Revolution also played Freefest in Loughborough to over 2000 happy punters in the open air. Over the space of a couple years, they recorded 3 EPs and were featured on Leicester Sound radio.
For anyone that’s interested the EP’s were:
1. The White EP – most of which can be listened to on our myspace page – http://www.myspace.com/parisrevolution
2. That’s Where I Wanna Be EP – including the local hit I Wish To Be A Rock Star – available on iTunes (search Paris Revolution)
3. Live From Robanna’s EP – including the ReverbNation/Microsoft Windows sponsored song – Dream, Believe, Live – available here until the end of September 09: http://bit.ly/rwRva
Well as the title suggests this is just meant to give you a little background on what we did back in the day as part of Paris Revolution and provide you with some links to some of the music we did back then. Over the coming weeks we’ll probably delve into the archives and maybe post some more old footage of us playing before joining forces to form…erm…Rob and Kal. Until then here’s a video compilation from one of our live gigs as Paris Revolution:
